The PM’s decision to not attend COP27 makes the front pages, with many seeing it as a snub and wondering if PM Rishi Sunak risks undermining Britain’s position as a world leader on green issues, by not attending. Another paper reports Boris Johnson is planning to attend – causing panic at No10. 

Several newspapers lead with Liz Truss’s mobile phone being hacked by the Kremlin. The papers say Putin cyber-spies are suspected of having “gained access to top-secret exchanges … as well as private conversations” from the former PM’s personal phone, from when she was foreign secretary.
