US President Donald Trump has confirmed plans for a second state visit to the UK in September, following an invitation from King Charles.
The visit is expected to include official engagements at Windsor Castle with the Royal Family. The announcement has sparked a variety of reactions on social media, highlighting both excitement and opposition among the public.

It is likely that the President will have sealed a deal with UK before that, however the US President’s trip to the UK in September ‘will be shrouded with some degree of protest.’
Buckingham Palace previously only said the state visit to the UK would happen “when diaries allow”, but Mr Trump told reporters on Thursday: “I think they are setting a date for September.”
“I don’t know how it can be bigger than the last one,” he said.
